Keybinds

The keys Aurora HUD registers, how the server sets its defaults, and where players change them.

Keys are registered with the game and appear in its own key bindings screen. Nothing is hard-bound.

No keys are bound on install. Defaults are set in /hud → Admin → Controls.

Eleven actions are registered. The label is what the game’s key bindings screen shows:

Label in the game Registered as Category
Open menu aurora_openhud Interface & Utility
Cinematic mode aurora_cinematic Interface & Utility
Speedometer showcase aurora_speedoshowcase Interface & Utility
Status showcase aurora_statusshowcase Interface & Utility
Seatbelt aurora_seatbelt Vehicles & Driving
Left turn signal aurora_signal_left Vehicles & Driving
Right turn signal aurora_signal_right Vehicles & Driving
Hazard lights aurora_signal_hazard Vehicles & Driving
Cruise control aurora_cruise Vehicles & Driving
Cruise speed + aurora_cruise_up Vehicles & Driving
Cruise speed - aurora_cruise_down Vehicles & Driving

Three also have a chat command: /hud, /hudshowcase and /hudshowcasestatus. Leaving an action unbound is a valid configuration.

/hud → Controls, in the admin zone. Click a row, press a key, then save at the bottom. Esc, the Windows keys and Print Screen are refused, because the system reserves them.

Saving applies immediately to players who are online and still unbound, so the scheme can be set on a full server without reconnects.

Esc → Settings → Key Bindings → FiveM, listed by label among every other resource’s bindings. That screen is the only place a key can be changed; the Controls tab in /hud sets the server defaults, not a player’s binding.

Every driving key is tied to the feature behind it. Turning a feature off in /hud → Admin turns off its key with it: seatbelt, turn signals and cruise control alike. See The /hud menu.
